Curran Theatre tickets & upcoming events

Looking for a theater that feels like stepping into San Francisco’s cultural heartbeat? The Curran Theatre is just that. Nestled in the heart of the city, this historic venue has been a hub for incredible performances and community engagement for decades. It’s not just about catching a show; it’s about the vibe, the cozy balcony seats are perfect for a romantic night out, and the main floor, with its classic proscenium stage, creates an intimate atmosphere that keeps you glued to the action. I remember catching 'The Play That Goes Wrong' here in 2018, and honestly, the audience was roaring with laughter, it’s the kind of place that makes you feel like you’re part of something special. The theatre’s design pays attention to comfort and sightlines, so even if you’re sitting way in the back, you’re not missing a thing. Plus, if you’re near the Municipal Plaza, a quick stroll down Geary Street gets you inside, or hop on a bus from the nearby Fine Arts Pavilion. And let’s not forget, the Curran is big on making the arts accessible, offering early bird discounts, an easy-to-navigate seating chart, and options for everyone from the adventurous front-row thrill-seekers to budget-conscious theater lovers. Honestly, it’s such a gem in the city’s entertainment scene, and I’d say you really don’t want to miss what’s coming next.
